About The Event
In June, 250 emergency services personnel from Australia, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom will descend on Adelaide to participate in the Australasian Rescue Challenge (ARC 2023), providing personnel the opportunity to demonstrate their skills, technique and knowledge through a range of road crash rescue challenges. Challenges are based on real emergency scenarios, providing the community with a realistic insight into the experience of emergency services personnel.
ARC 2023 is hosted by the South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service (MFS), South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) and South Australian State Emergency Service (SES) on behalf of the Australasian Road Rescue Organisation (ARRO), the peak body in Australasia for the development and exchange of information, knowledge and skills in road and trauma rescue.
*Triger warning – Some demonstrations will include live volunteer casualties with special FX makeup replicating real injuries.
